Goroka’s peri-urban village a long-overdue plan

 IN response to the media statement by the member of Goroka, Bire Kimisopa,  (The National, Mar 19) the initiative to integrate Goroka’s peri-urban villages has been long overdue.
This could have been initiated when he was a police minister and not until Prime Minister Peter O’Neill woke him up from his slumber.
It is annoying and disgusting that we are experiencing traffic congestion at all bust stops, shopping centres, hospitals, banks and markets.
Goroka is over-flooded with people from all the regions of the country nd it needs urgent re-zoning, expansion and improvement of all infrastructures in town.
Our good member should not wait until 2015, instead let his actions do the talking.
There have been media statement after media statement by both Bire and Julie Soso, but no action on the ground.
Please, less talk and more action as the next election is catching up.
