Goroka gets new registry office

The PNG Civil and Identity Registry launched its Eastern Highlands office in Goroka last Wednesday.
This is the 11th  office to be launched under the PNG NID project.
Eastern Highlands provincial administrator Solomon Tato, PNG NID project manager Dr Esther Lavu and Registrar General of PNG Dickson Kiragi officiated at the launch.
Eastern Highlands civil and identity Registry is now fully operational and has been conducting registrations since Oct 6.
The registry will led by I’pai Maniha as the provincial registrar.
Maniha’s appointment was also made official with the signing of instruments during the launching of the office last Wednesday.
The registry is located between the Goroka court house, and the Eastern Highlands administrative headquarters in the heart of Goroka town.
