Goroka and glory days

ADDING to the letter by Lovii Komi Guhe, from Matehau, on Monday (March 19) ‘Back to glory days’, Goroka returned to its glory days only because our province hosted some Apec delegates.
Will our town be always as clean and as tidy as that or are we only pretending?
We are the great pretenders trying to portray to others that we were like that in the past. Why can’t we be just what we are so people can see our true colours?
We have this mentality that makes us want to be all bosses and that kind of mentality has led our town down the road to where it has become like a piggery or rubbish dump.
Let’s keep Goroka clean but at the same time let’s not pretend to be something we are not.
