Goroka show needs permanent venue

THE Goroka Show Society needs a permanent  “home”  for its show every September, Minister for Culture Arts and Tourism Tobias Kulang says.
Kulang met with society executives in Goroka and assured members that his ministry would work with the Lands and Sports ministries to try to secure part of the  National Sports Institute (NSI) ground to build a permanent infrastructure for the show.
Kulang said the Lae and Mt Hagen Show Society have permanent venues that staged shows and Goroka should have a permanent venue as well.
“Both sports and tourism and culture activities are very important. We need to work out a ‘win-win’ situation for both the NSI and the Goroka Show Society,” Kulang said.
