Government did well with Apec

THE Government has done well.
Apec created many chances for international exposure.
It created opportunities for Papua New Guinea to become a major player in global trade.
PNG can now be a leader in the Pacific.
Hosting Apec has given us immediate and long-term benefits.
Our economy will grow with the arrival of more investors.
Trade will increase as more markets open up because of free trade deals.
PNG will benefit from bilateral relationships forged with more powerful countries who have trade agreements themselves.
The real benefits of hosting Apec will be realised down the road.
PNG may be a small Pacific Islands country but now, because of Apec, it is known far and wide.
There are talks of moves to change this government, but I think this government is doing just fine.
