Government incompetent

Letters

SINCE Tari-Pori MP James Marape became prime minister, people could tell how he was running the country.
While the country is facing challenges with the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government shutdown Porgera gold mine, delayed Pasca A its operation, other resource developers withdrew their investments, resulting in a high unemployment rate.
While there were many law and order issues resulting in many deaths and other outstanding social and economic issues, the Government decided to postpone parliament to August.
All these are signs of incompetence.
These factors indicate that Marape needs help in moving Papua New Guinea forward.
We should not sit and relax as if everything is running smoothly.
I call on our people to rise up.
Our Government really needs good advice to steer the country in the right direction.
If that does not happen then this country should be led by someone competent.
After former prime minister and Ialibu-Pangia MP Peter O’Neill’s regime ended, all these issues mentioned were on the rise.
If the Government continues to operate in this manner, Papua New Guinea heading toward serious trouble.
I have witnessed law and order issues getting out of hand because those in authority failed to manage the issues well.
That is why Police Commissioner David Manning should be more focused on law and order issues instead of the Covid-19.
Act now.
