Government questioned

Letters

HOW long will the Government take to terminate and jail public servants who are knowingly defrauding the State of millions?
Having a deceased public servant on payroll and salaries received by someone else is unimaginable.
Money has really corrupted them minds of every one and worse are the so-called educated population.
Police harassment are all infused by money.
Teachers corrupting educational practices or medical practitioners conducting ill practices are all because of money.
I value National Planning and Monitoring Minister Richard Maru’s direction this month to have all public servants paid through NID registration.
This will certainly reduce such ill practices and bring back some lost senses to crippled minds in the public service, or for that matter, every person of this land.
One other Government agency that needs clean-up is the
PNG National Commission for Unesco.
The office had so many officers on the Government payroll.
Chief Secretary Isaac Lupari needs to intervene and have the structure of this so-called office deleted.
It has achieved nothing after assuming autonomous status in 2008.
