JIWAKA Governor Dr William Tongamp has pledged to work with everyone in the province.

In order to do that, he gave an undertaking yesterday during a meeting with his executives at Banz Provincial Assembly to erect offices in each of the six LLGs in Jiwaka.

He said it was part of decentralising powers to the LLG level.

Tongamp said the six offices would be taken care of by his officers who would then attend to queries at the LLGs and ward levels.

He will attend important matters, he said.

“It is equally important to involve everyone in the decision-making of the province,” Tongamp said.

“To develop a province requires cooperation and combined effort from every one.

“We cannot fully develop a province in isolation.

“That is why my administration has decided to involve everyone who can then contribute to developing the new Jiwaka.

“ Our people must not be left to feel that they are left out but they must be given the opportunity to feel that they are key stakeholders in the development process of the province.”

Tongamp said most development projects would start next year as this year had been taken up by the election petition against his win by former Anglimp South Waghi MP Jamie Maxtone-Graham.
