Governor dispels rumours

NORTHERN Governor Gary Juffa has dismissed claims of disunity among MPs in his province.
Juffa said his office and that of the provincial government had always enjoyed a cordial working relationship with Sohe MP Henry Amuli and Ijivitari MP Richard Masere.
He was referring to a recent media report suggesting criticisms surfacing in the media about disunity.
“I have always enjoyed a very strong working relationship with Masere and Amuli and my door has always been open to both open members to advance Oro,” Juffa said.
“As political leaders of Northern, it must be clear we stand together on the development and advancement agenda.
“Political rhetoric and unfounded emotions expressed on social media and other platforms are deemed deliberately misleading efforts by third parties.”
Juffa urged journalists to report accurately, without ambiguity and political intent.
“Information is power and when reporting on development issues, ensure you are covering both sides in a balanced and objective manner,” he said.
“I am in regular contact with member Masere and he denied making any claim that there was disunity in the provincial government.
“In fact, my office is working very closely with both members to advance Oro.
“It is not a competition. We have limited resources and must use them wisely. If asked to assist, we will step in.
“Any claim of disunity is merely misinformation and political in nature and is the personal opinion of those who passionately paddle this garbage on social media,” Juffa said.
