THE Evangelical Lutheran Church and its followers have been asked to spread the word globally and take it to non-Christian countries and regions.

Morobe Governor Kelly Naru provided the challenge on Wednesday when he addressed the Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Mumeng district conference in Mumeng, Bulolo, where the faithful from 19 parishes attended.

Naru witnessed the launching of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Mumeng district Vision 2026 aimed to achieve effective performance by church leaders and members through active participation in personal wealth creation, sustainable development of natural resources and sharing the word of God in a safe and secure environment.

He said the Lutheran church spread the Gospel through its evangelisation programme in many parts of Papua New Guinea for the past 129 years

“The nation of Papua New Guinea has been evangelised for the last 129 years, with its length and breadth covered,” Naru told the people there.
