DEVELOPMENT for rural people is what Western Governor Ati Wobiro wants to do.
Wobiro said he wanted to give that support to the national government to help the rural population in his electorate.“I was elected by the people of Western province under the People United Assembly Party and the way I want to develop Western is clearly shown in my professional credentials as well as in what my party believes,” he said.“As an economist who has majored in development economics, I want to help my people. “I want the resources taken from us to be utilised properly to better our life.
“My party leader, Anderson Agiru, comes from a resource province like Western and I am certain his experience and qualities as the leader of the party very much supports me in delivering service to my people. “My party stands to support the O’Neill-led coalition and I am certain that through the steps we have taken, I can contribute to the nation as well as the province I represent,” Wobiro said.
He said he was confident the government, through its coalition partners, would focus mainly on rural communities in the country and that was what he wanted.
