Governor’s Cup up for grabs

IT was good news to read in the newspaper that the Central Governor’s Cup, the premier rural rugby league competition in Central, is gearing up for its fifth season.
I personally commend officials of the competition for their tireless effort in promoting rugby league within the province.
The pathway for our Central team to participate in the country’s premier rugby league competition is in your capable hands.
Although our facilities are not up to standard, we have many talented players in Central who can excel.
Evidence of this is in Team Central 9’s rugby team being winner of silver and gold medals in past PNG Games.
