Govt backs policies: O’Neill

PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill says the Government continues to maintain its major policies and projects, which is evident around the country.
O’Neill who opened a new lodge in his electorate of Ialibu-Pangia in Southern Highlands last Saturday said the Government’s major policies on education, health, infrastructure, law and order and economic development had driven the nation forward.
He said free education had enabled thousands of children to enrol in schools and relieved parents of paying school fees.
“Every children in this country deserves a better education to make a sound living in the future,” he said.
O’Neill said although some might find it hard to get jobs easily, good education should enable them to become successful in business.
He opened the Pangia Luu Lodge owned by businessman Eke Lama.
O’Neill said the lodge signified the importance of education and Lama was a fine example of this.
O’Neill said Lama never made it to university but the little education he had enabled him to become a successful businessman.
