Govt department heads sign employment contracts

TWELVE Government department heads signed their employment contact yesterday in Port Moresby.
Among them were secretary for the Department of Prime Minister and Nation Executive Council Ivan Pomaleu, High Commissioner to the Philippines Betty Palaso and secretary for Department of Communication, Information and Technology Steven Mataihano.
The departmental heads signed their employment contracts for three or four years.
The heads of departments, their families and relatives and the media witnessed the event in Port Moresby.
Governor-General Grand Chief Sir Bob Dadae congratulated officers for signing their employment contract.
The officers are:

  • SECRETARY for Department of Prime Minister and National Executive Council Ivan Pomaleu;
  • SECRETARY for Department of Communication and Information Technology Steven Mataihano;
  • HIGH Commissioner to the Philippines Betty Palaso;
  • CHIEF executive officer of the National Office of Child and Family Service Simon Yanis;
  • CHIEF executive officer of Road and Traffic Authority Nelson Terema;
  • DIRECTOR-general of the Office of National Library and Archives Kakai-to Kasi;
  • MANAGING director for Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation Petrus Ralda;
  • CHIEF Censor, Office of Censorship Jim Abani; and,
  • LEGISLATIVE council Marleen Toliman, Alice Kwana, Wanpis Koro and Fredrick Kulinaki.
