TREASURER Ian Ling-Stuckey says the Government is working towards the goal of growing by at least 5 per cent per year.
He said the focus of this inclusive growth was the non-resource sector which covered such key areas as agriculture, manufacturing and services such as the retail sector.
“This growth of at least 5 per cent a year will also grow jobs in the formal sector by at least 10,000 per year, and even more in the informal sector,” he said yesterday.
Ling-Stuckey said he had outlined key elements of the Government’s approach to restoring inclusive to the economy.
“The most important work is creating the environment that allows businesses to grow,” he said.
