Every year, thousands of students graduate with diplomas or degrees from the various tertiary institutions.

There are numerous government scholarships, such as the OHE scholarships or provincial scholarships.

However, I find it sad that the government is not helping students in their post-graduate studies.

If the government is serious in promoting education, it must look into helping students to further their studies, instead of wasting money on failed reforms.

At the moment, many Papua New Guineans who have obtained post-graduate qualifications did so through foreign governments’ aid or self-sponsoring themselves.

I think it is time the government starts planning for post-graduate scholarships and help support its citizens.
