Govt should be tough on illegal settlements

Letters

IT is the responsibility of the Government and leaders to warn and educate people that towns and cities were built for a different purpose and not for uneducated, jobless, elderly and other unproductive people.
Our Government and leaders should strongly warn people against flocking into towns and cities and setting up makeshift shelters or build settlements illegally on other people’s land.
This is illegal.
We have to respect landowners’ rights and their properties.
Why our towns and cities going to the dogs?
Why are people from other provinces controlling the land and manipulating the system?
Get our leaders to make tough laws against such practices so that people learn to respect the law and other people’s properties.
I believe the Government and relevant authorities have a responsibility to educate people to avoid settling illegally in urban areas.
It is time we stop this practice.
It is time to respect other people’s properties
The Government and the leaders should act on this immediately.
