“The Government has focused to ensure that universities, including colleges, will provide highly skilled and knowledgeable graduates to be able to meet the technological needs and expectations of both the public and private sectors.”
Dr Hualupmomi said the country should increase student population and investment and improve the quality of learning in higher and technical institutions.
“The universities should be focusing on research and development to provide quality education to support national development.”
DHERST, he said, had been going through the major reform based on National Executive Council decisions to transform and unify higher and technical intuitions given the sensible issue in the education sector.
Dr Hualupmomi said public and private tertiary institutions would be subjected through the DHERST policy directions, reforms and integration to ensure quality graduates were produced every year.
“There is evidence that huge investment in the human capital development result in massive integrated economic development.”
