Gr11 student killed in suspected school fight in POM

 A GRADE 11 student in Port Moresby died after a fight with others last Saturday.

Police said the student, 18, from Pangia,n Southern Highlands, attended Gordon Secondary School in the National Capital District. 

He was the son of a police officer.

Police believe that two groups of students from two schools in Port Moresby had got together and started drinking when the incident happened around 7pm. 

An argument developed in which the student was stabbed and died.

Two of his colleagues took him to the St John’s clinic in Gerehu where he died.

Police have arrested the students involved in the fight.
