A GROUP of grade 12 students have been reminded that they are about to begin a new journey in life.
PNG University of Technology registrar Veronica Thomas told more than 200 Wawin National High School grade 12 students that they would be moving in different directions and should remember that they still had a long way to go in life.
“Aspire to be diligent in all that you do to make a positive difference in your community or wherever you may be,” she said.
“You have a long way to go after this graduation.”
Thomas told the students to make good use of their time and become good citizens.
She reminded them to aim high and be the best in their endeavours.
Tewai-Siassi MP Dr Kobby Bomario encouraged the students to face the challenges after school.
“After the national examinations, some of you will be awarded offers to further your education but others will not,” he said.
Bomario added that those who failed to further their studies should keep going the extra mile as only through hard work one would succeed.
“There are a lot of struggles that you have to face in this world after leaving school, don’t back off at the first instance.
“Stand your ground to overcome those challenges.”
