TEENAGER Mario Alois is suffering from a suspected brain tumor and is in urgent need of financial assistance to get medical treatment overseas.
The Grade 8 student, 18, of Port Moresby Grammar School was eight when he accidently fell from a tree resulting in an internal bleeding of his brain.
The blood had entered the ventricle tubes and the doctors at the Pacific International Hospital had no hope of saving his life – giving him three days to live.
Alois was discharged to await his fate at the Port Moresby General Hospital. But he was miraculously healed after consistent prayer and support from Christian friends and the help of the PMGH staff.
Ten years on, Alois seemed to be recovering well and was doing well in his academic achievements until recently when he started having sharp headaches and vomiting.
He was taken back to the PIH for medical examination.
The results suggested a possible brain tumor and the doctors have recommended overseas treatment because PNG lacked the facilities and expertise.
Arrangements have been made for Mario to get  treatment in Singapore but he will need K50,000 for his medical expenses.
He needs support and donations from everyone.
Members of the public willing to support Mario can make deposits into the account: Mario Stephenson Alois, Account number: 1005140171.
People can also contact  John Apini on phone number 721 6871 or Marylouise Alois on 7369 8929 for more information.
