Graffiti in the city

Letters

As a citizen looking forward to this weekend’s 43rd Independence Day celebrations followed by the Apec Leaders’ Summit, I am saddened to see more and more graffiti in Port Moresby.
NCDC is obviously burning up a lot of money to clean the city before the Apec summit in November.
Vandals have painted graffiti on the NCDC-run bus – which provides a free service in the city – flat walls and vehicles.
People should report anyone seen painting graffiti in the city.
I appeal to everyone to look after our city and respect all public and private properties.
I am especially not happy to see the big red bus tainted with graffiti.
It shows that parents are not monitoring their children or not talking to them.
Let us all work together to keep our city clean.
Say no to graffiti
