Grieving the loss of late Bakaman

Letters

WE are grieving the loss of a young man, Hillary Bakaman, who lost his life on the Sepik Highway last Friday driving his own bus and serving his people.
He was a helpful young man.
I have two buses and we used to travel the Sepik Highway together serving our people daily.
When my bus breaks down on the Highway, he is first person I contact and he is always ready to assist, no matter the situation.
He was dependable and reliable.
He was an asset to his family and those that knew him.
I knew him well and he was very much part of my family.
He has never failed anyone who needed his assistance.
My family and I grieve for this young man who we owe so much.
Our home in Wewak was his home.
I greet him every day when he is in Wewak town loading his passengers to travel to Maprik but that Friday I stayed home only to find out in the afternoon that he was murdered in cold blood for no reason at all.
We want justice for him and those murderers should be sent to prison for life.
It is pointless that we the hardworking families pay taxes to the Government that feeds the very murderers in prison who caused us so much pain.
