LEADERS in Mendi want a Southern Highlands provincial administrator appointed to, among other things, coordinate the general election.
And they urge Governor Anderson Agiru and Prime Minister Peter O’Neill to put their political differences aside and immediately appoint an administrator.
William Powi had resigned to contest the general election, leaving the province without an administrator.
Spokesmen Ban Wolom and John King, said a new and neutral provincial administrator was required to take charge and coordinate the general election.
They wanted a neutral administrator from Mendi to look after the political and administrative interests of Southern Highlands.
