Group plans youth rally

 A YOUTH rally is being planned for January in Southern Highlands.

Under the theme “Youth Painim Youth”, it will be held on Jan 12, with participants coming from the 18 outstations – Pangia Parish, Wiliame Parish, Yalibu Parish and Mendi Diocese with priest and bishop. 

Pangia Parish youth coordinator Daniel Lucas said youths needed good teaching and encouragement to use their potentials. 

He said youths had a special role to play in every society.

“Most social problems are caused by youths and it is time to help them address these and involve them in church programmes,” Lucas said.

He said the partnership between the government and churches was the right way to move the country forward.
