THE Papua New Guinea and Port Moresby Billiards and Snooker Association’s annual presentation night set for this Thursday February 4 has been deferred by a week.
Port Moresby Billiards and Snooker Association vice president Stewart Nikints said the joint presentation has been deferred to Feb 11 due to compassionate reasons.
“It is sad to advise that the presentation has to be postponed by a week due to the unavailability of PNGBSA vice president and POMBSA president John Chan, whose dad passed away in Brisbane recently and PNG snooker public relations officer Ephata Samuel whose brother in-law passed away in Port Moresby last week,” Nikints said.
“On behalf of the snooker fraternal in PNG, I express our deepest condolences to John Chan and his family on the loss of their dad.”
Nikints also paid tribute to radio and television sportspersonality, late Mark Sapias.
“Sapias was a popular sports commentator. We express our condolences to his family for the loss.”
