WEST New Britain Professionals for Development (WNBPD) has called on dedicated leaders to contest the local level government elections in the province.

The group, which comprises elites from the province, said WNB was rich is resources but needed good and dedicated leadership.

“We just need dedicated and smart leaders in office to make a difference starting from the wards up,” WNBPD said in a statement yesterday.

It said LLGs in the province have been stagnant in terms of service delivery for years due to the lack of vision and leadership.

It was important for the people of WNB to consider supporting intending candidates with vision and who are capable to drive development in the ward level, WNBPD said.

With the issue of writs scheduled for tomorrow, the group also urged the people to take the election of LLG presidents seriously, adding these were front-liners in service delivery in the province.

“Service delivery starts at the ward level,” WNBPD said.
