THIRTY people from Sohe district in Northern walked along the Kokoda track to attend the Cross-Over Crusade hosted by Life in the Spirit Ministries in Port Moresby.
The 27 men and three women walked the 96 kilometres to attend the crusade.
Pastor Henson Omborapa said the group walked for three days to attend to witness what God had done for the nation.
“We have taken this long difficult walk because we want God to manifest in our province,” he said.
Out of the 30, five “gave their lives” to the Lord on August 31.
One of them, Jimmy Kaki, said he had never seen anything like it.
He said he had dropped out of school because of financial problems and was roaming the streets. He heard of the crusade and decided to follow the group.
He has received a “new life” and wants to go back to his province to help change it through the word of God. “I have no education but I know that God has a purpose for me. Truly I have seen that God has crossed over to become the God of PNG. I want to take that fire back and light to my province,” he said.
More than 3000 people attended the crusade which started on Aug 31. It ends on Friday.
