Guards in city not protecting people

I HAVE seen a security firm stationing its guards at main centres in Port Moresby such as Erima, Gordon and 4-Mile.
I wonder what they’re doing.
I reside at Wildlife and I see them doing nothing.
Thugs are robbing people but these security guards are doing nothing about that.
Some mothers and girls and even men are being held up and stabbed at Gordon but I see these guards standing and just letting the thugs harming people.
What’s their purpose of being there anyway?
Can the National Capital District Commission and the Government deal with this security firm?
The firm seems to be wasting people’s money without doing anything effective.
The Government should divert that money to the police force so we have police officers protecting the people.
