GULF Komara are not taking the Southern Strikers when they meet in round four of the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League Southern Conference at the Sir John Guise Stadium tomorrow.
So far, both teams have won one match each.
Komara coach Percy Mataio has prepared his players for this outing.
“We have a big task in front of us,” he said.
“We want our senior players to lay the platform for our game plan this weekend.
“We have improved in the key areas we had identified.
“Jamal Seeto’s experience in midfield will help a lot.”
He said last week’s 1-0 win over Bougainville had boosted their confidence.
“We have prepared as a team and we will need to rise up to the occasion.
“Defender Laventine Monuo has performed consistently, so we will be expecting him and goalkeeper George Gerega to be alert for any threats posed by the opposition.”
Southern Conference fixtures: Sat, Feb 16 – Gulf Komara v Southern Strikers, Eastern Stars v Central United, Star Mountain v Bougainville, Hekari United v Port Moresby United.
