Gunemba signs up with Geelong SC

TOTI City FC captain Raymond Gunemba, pictured, left last week for Melbourne to join the Geelong Soccer Club on a three-month contract.
The club announce the signing of the Papua New Guinea striker in the mid-season transfer window.
The Papua New Guinea international has made 17 appearances.
He scored five goals in the 2016 OFC Nations Cup making him the tournament’s top goal scorer.
Gunemba led his City side to winning the National Soccer League title and also qualify for the OFC Champions League.
He also won the NSL’s golden boot award after scoring 13 goals over the season.
Gunemba has earned a reputation as a robust striker, who has the speed and power to score when given the opportunity.
Gunemba thanked Geelong for giving him the opportunity to in a high calibre competition in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
“I’m happy to be here and it’s a great opportunity to play with an overseas club and I’m looking forward to scoring some goals for them,” Gunemba said.
He urged young players to put God first, “discipline yourself and you will be successful”.
