H’lands Super Nines set for this weekend

 THE Highlands leg of the Digicel Super Nines tournament will kick off this weekend at the Rebiamul Oval in Mt Hagen from February 21-22.

Mt Hagen, Goroka and Jiwaka would field several teams, while Enga, Southern Highlands and Hela would field a team each. 

The Tari development squad are confirmed to participate but have not registered as yet.

Teams from Mt Hagen are the Eagles Doa, Gomis, Hagen Broncos, Hagen Sharks and Kondipina, while teams from Goroka are the Goroka Schoolboys, Goroka Dragons and Goroka West Rocks. Teams from Jiwaka include the Kurumul and Banining Kerex development squads, Minj-select side and Kimil Coffee Raiders.

The Highlands Super Nines tournament manager is Gabriel Kiluwa, who will be assisted by Peter Everest Kiap.

Pool A: Kurumul development squad, Komo Sago Roots, Hagen Broncos, Goroka Dragons. Pool B: Tari development squad, Porgera-select side, Eagles Doa, Goroka West Rocks. Pool C: Minj-select Side, Hagen Sharks, Kondipina, Kimil Coffee Raiders. Pool D: Gomis, Goroka Schoolboys, Banining-select side and Mendi.
