Happy parents thank doctors, nurses and God for son’s heart

Parents of Isaac Thompson were overwhelmed and thankful to doctors and nurses of Operation Open Heart and Open Heart International for the succesful heart operation on their son Isaac on Sunday.
He is the second patient to be successfully operated on.
Isaac’s father Thompson Nanget said his son’s heart issue was discovered in 2013 by specialist at Gerehu hospital and he was referred for further examination at the Port Moresby General Hospital.
“Isaac no inap kisim displa heart marasin gen na mi amamamas tru. Bigpla amamas na tok tenk yu blo mi go lo ol dota na nes. God bai blessim yupla lo wok blo yupla lo saving life (Isaac won’t be taking medication again and I’m so happy. Sincere thanks to doctors and nurses, God will bless you for your good work in saving lives”), Nanget said.
Isaac’s mother Wendy said Isaac was put on medication since he was three years old.
She said it was a blessing for the family that Isaac underwent surgery free.
Isaac’s family from West Coast in East Sepik and Port Moresby will be grateful to doctors and nurses for committing their time, money and resources to give hope to Isaac.
Isaac is recovering, along with Rihanna Chris, 8, Bartilani Taligatus, 12, and Emmanuella Okole, nine months at the Port Moresby General Hospital.
