Paralympian Timothy Harabe is appealing to individuals and organisations to assist him financially to buy a new sports wheelchair.

The father of three, who participated in the Indian and London Paralympics in powerlifting, said he was training for the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby and needed at least K6,000 to buy a new one.

“I have been a great ambassador for the country and I am now appealing to all Papua New Guineans to assist me,” he said.

He is training for the Pacific Games and Commonwealth Games.

The Lae-based Komo-Margarima local represented Morobe in the past three PNG Games.

“My BSP bank account number is 100-162-9143 and my mobile number is 7297 4734,” Harabe said.

He said his wife burnt his old wheelchair after a family row.

Harabe did not elaborate on the fight with his wife, saying the matter was water under the bridge.
