Hard work pays off with new pastor’s house

THE Taulil United church congregation under the Gaulim circuit in the Gazelle’s Toma-Vunadidir local level government (LLG) in East New Britain have been raising funds since 2015 to build a new house for their pastor.
Their hard work paid off as they opened the new house worth over K78,000 on Sunday.
Former church chairman Wenzell Mongor said church members in the two wards of Taulil 1 and 2 were too many and needed a man of God to be with them. He said the congregation faced many challenges, which was why they wanted to build a house in the church area.
“We initially raised K15,000, but we saw that it was not enough so we decided to continue,” Mongor said.
He said Nambawan Hire Cars was gave K15,000 worth building materials for the pastor’s house.
“The church formed a building committee and started seeking help from business houses and government authorities. This house is an important building for our people.
“It will shelter the servant of God.”
“I ask everyone to look after the building.
“All youths and other congregation must come to church and build their spiritual building.”
Nambawan Hire Cars company branch manager Lloyd Mar said they believed that was God’s calling to support the church.
