HARDWARE Haus has backed the Central Province Premier League with K50,000 in an effort to create a pathway for aspiring players in the province.
League chairman Jack Kedea said Hardware Haus, which is part of the City Pharmacy Limited Group, was the first corporate firm to sponsor the competition since its establishment in 2014.
Chief executive Navin Raju said the company was proud to partner the league in helping expose and develop rugby players in the rural areas.
“We have a community obligation to also give back to the people and not only to receive from them as a business,” he said.
“We are helping each other to promote and market our genuine brands and products to our customers, clients and stakeholders in business and rugby league.”
Kedea said he was grateful for the company’s support. Kedea said the sponsorship indicated the company’s confidence in the management and objectives of the competition.
“We will kick off the competition with 10 teams playing seven rounds followed by the elimination finals and grand final,” he said.
