THE Harlequins beat the Brothers 18-17 in a Capital Rugby Union (CRU) grand-final rematch at Park in Port Moresby on Saturday.
The Harlies posted three unconverted tries and a penalty goal to the Brothers three five-pointers (only one converted) in the season opener.
All CRU premier matches were moved to Saturday following a decision by club executives to have all fixtures for the weekend on one day.
In other matches, the Wanderers defeated the Valley Hunters 8-5, heavyweights University beat Nova 27-15 and Juggernauts triumphed over the Crusaders 15-7.
The Crusaders had the upper hand in the opening half with No.8 Henry Kwaramb leading his forwards for a converted try via prop Manu Wayagure.
Quick reaction from the Juggernauts backline saw fly-half Shaun Laho put a cross field kick for winger Philip Dobunaba to score an unconverted try on the left edge to trail 5-7 at halftime.
Laho seized another shot at points for the Juggernauts with a penalty conversion, giving them an 8-7 lead before prop Ralph Kuso scored another try to seal the win.
