Harlies’ suspension lifted

THE Capital Rugby Union (CRU) has lifted its suspension on the Harlequins, allowing the club to compete this weekend.
The club was suspended on May 7 after Harlequins loose forward Avosa Kaipu assaulted Nova’s Elipimi Kini, pictured.
The penalty of K5000 laid by CRU against the Harlequins was suspended after the club decided to cover Kini’s medical costs.
All points against Harlequins during the suspension would be recorded for all grades.
CRU president Kori Chan said judiciary panel had been selected to hear the case against Harlequins’ official Anthony Pangkatana and Kaipu this week.
Chan said they appreciated the club’s response after the assault.
