Hauslain win darts opener

NEWCOMER National Housing Corporation Hauslain won its first match of the NCD Darts competition at the Sports Inn on Saturday.
Competing in Pool Blue, the Tokarara team edged out Gerehu’s Hamamas 5-4.
Hamamas took the first game best of a nine-frame match but Hauslain levelled the score before winning the men’s first doubles.
Philemon Kora and Manong Billei extended the lead for Hauslain 2-1 with the victory in the mixed doubles.
Hamamas bounced back to draw level at 2-2, by claiming the third and final doubles to be even heading into the final singles. Foxy Ori opened the singles with a comfortable 2-1 win over Sam Ketsapurea to retain the lead for Hauslain (3-2).
Angie Haro struck back immediately to level the scores in the women’s singles beating Billei 2-1 to tie the match 3-3.
Haulsain’s skipper Solomon Ori beat Raphael Sei 2-0 to regain the lead 4-3.
Junior Ori then completed the walkover for Hauslain with an easy 2-0 win over Chris Haro to claim 5-3 win.
In the other Pool Blue results, Straydogs 2 beat Uni Darts 2 6-3.
