THe Kilakila Health Centre in the Moresby South electorate, National Capital District, will be upgraded at a cost of K2 million.
The Four Square Church will upgrade the health centre in collaboration with Moresby South MP Justin Tkatchenko and NCD Governor Powes Parkop.
During the ground-breaking ceremony yesterday, Tkatchenko said it was an important facility that needed upgrading.
“This clinic serves more than 50,000 people and plays a major role in the community over many years,” Tkatchenko said.
He thanked Parkop for his support, saying the “clinic is just one of the many projects that we are doing together”.
“What you have seen over the last four years, with the legacy and history of the development of this electorate, is because of the partnership between me, as your member, and the governor, working together as a team for the benefit of our people,” Tkatchenko said.
