Health officers

Letters

THIS is an urgent call to health extension officers to take up rural posts instead of staying at provincial and general hospitals doing nothing.
They should be out there helping the rural population who need health services every day.
Health extension officers are trained and assigned to take care and look after rural health facilities around the country.
I wonder why they are rejecting rural postings and occupying positions in urban hospitals, as our rural population dyes due to lack of health extension officers.
Can Health Secretary, Health Minister and the Provincial Health Authority CEOs go down to the bottom of this?
Look into rural population dying every day due to luck of health staff to attend to them.
