Health services and education

Letters

LIVES are being lost in the villages and remote parts of Papua New Guinea because of the unavailability of health services and medicine.
Whose fault is this? Besides health, our children are being denied proper education because of the late or non-payment of the government’s school fee subsidy, or tuition free funding.
Our leaders seem to be not taking these two issues seriously.
It seems that PNG does not have a leader brave enough to stand up and push for more focus on the welfare and wellbeing of our suffering people and students and not so much on our hosting of Apec, which won’t have any significant impact on our poor patients and students.
