A PETITION containing issues affecting the management and administration of the division of health in Kavieng has been presented to the New Ireland administration.
The petition is from the group of senior provincial and district health programme managers in New Ireland who met with Governor Sir Julius Chan last Friday to brief him regarding concerns outlined in  the petition.
Sir Julius said the issues raised were serious.
Among the allegations in the petition were questionable actions by the management of the health division in appointing  terminated cronies and wantoks with questionable records.
The health workers called on the provincial government and administration to address issues before things got worse leaving the people to suffer. the consequences.
Chan assured them that the root caused were addressed and weeded out.
He said such problems were dragging the efforts of the provincial government to transform and improve the public service in New Ireland.
