THE PNG Health Workers’ Christian Fellowship is hosting a week-long conference to equip workers combat serious health issues.

President Sister Manasseh Kelly said as Christian workers, they believed that behaving and living in the spirit of God was the way to bring healing and authority to overcome diseases.

The conference started on Monday with a ceremony at Rev Sione Kami Memorial Church at Gordon, Port Moresby.

Kelly said there were many challenges the Christian health workers faced and the conference should equip them with strength and skills to fight HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, lifestyle diseases and addiction.

“Our cultural inputs to gender inequality issues have always painted a negative image of PNG,” she said.
