THE Hebou Hammers have been in red hot form and will be looking to continue their winning ways over Air Niugini Jets in the second round of the Hebou Shield 50-overs competition.

The Jets are coming off an impressive win over the Brian Bell Bulldogs last week and will fancy their chances against the Hammers.

Jets will be banking on the experience of Greg Baeau with the bat and Inoa Baeau & Jacob Mado with the ball.

Youngsters Sakavai Gebai and Kiplin Doriga have been outstanding with the bat and ball respectively and will be going head to head against a quality Hammers XI.

Hebou‘s list of national representatives includes all-rounder Mahuru Dai, batsman Vani Vagi Morea and an excellent pace attack  with paceman Willie Gavera, Loa Sisia, Mea Nao and Joel Tom.

In the other matches Pacific MMI Marlins run machine, Assad Vala, will be looking to go one step further and reach the three figure mark.

He fell six runs short last week and will be hoping to continue his good form.

He will need his fellow Marlins batsman to step up as well in the likes of Chris Amini, Ratu Maha and Charles Amini.

Brian Bell will need to be at the top of their game if they are to brush the Marlins aside.

BSP’s dangerous Tony Ura will be looking to dominate the Digara attack as they look to consolidate their top four position.

In the women’s 35-overs competition, Dulux are unbeaten in the Hebou Shield tournament and will be looking to maintain their 100% record when they take on Pacific MMI Mermaids.

Dulux star batswoman Mebo Ipi has been on fire with the bat and will need to be at her best again against a discipline Mermaids attack.

Young Kila Frank led the way with the bat last week and will be hoping for a repeat performance this weekend.

Pacific MMI skipper, Koita Atai will be hoping to spoil the Dulux party.

She has been in good form with the bat and has had good support from Elizabeth Vuivagi. Atai will be banking on young prospect Dika Nao to lead her attack against a quality batting line-up.

Hebou Harriets take on Pure Water Diamonds in the other match.
