THE Hekari United United’s School of Excellence (SOE) expects a good turnout in its second year of the children’s development programme.

The programme was initiated by arguably the best football club in the country with the aim of developing children who have the skill and talent to be the club and country’s next stars.

The programme started last October after a two-year hiatus.

The junior development programme was a success with more than 600 children taking part in it, mostly from Port Moresby.

It also showed that parents are supportive of the programme and commended founder and Hekari team manager Vonnie Kapi Natto for being the driving force behind the programme.

Kapi Natto was pleased with the outcome last year and was confident 2014 would build from that success.

She urged parents to bring their children when the programme starts in May.

The programme was initially scheduled to kick off this month but due to work currently being done at the Institute of Public Administration fields the scheduling had been pushed back.
