HEKARI United survived yet another hard fought battle against NC Civil Works Oro FC to win 1-0 at the Sir John Guise stadium in Port Moresby yesterday.

After a scoreless first half, striker Raymond Gunemba was there to collect a rebound to score the only goal of the match for Hekari.

According to Hekari manageress Vonnie Kapi Natto, it is a good win because they boys had to go through three tough matches before the midweek clash.

“The 1-0 win is good enough for the boys,” she said.

Hekari wont play this weekend as they will meet Solomon Island Warriors for the last OFC Championship League match on Saturday.

The win against Oro still help the club to pursue their dream of minor premiership.

“we have five outstanding games which put us in the good shape to win the remaining match to snatch the minor title to represent PNG again in the O-League matches.

The NSL matches this weekend will see FC Port Moresby take on Oro FC at 3pm while in the women NSL, Mungkas will play Northern Crusaders.
