THE Hides 4 landowners of PDL 7 have called on the Hela Transitional Authority not to add any new list from the Expenditure Implementation Committee approved list, as it would be illegal to do that.
Chairman of Hides 4 Landowners Umbrella Association Chris Payabe said the authority was not a signatory to the UBSA and LBBSA.
Therefore, it should not try to make changes to the master list provided to them by EIC and the National Planning Department.
He said any changes would have serious repercussion on the LNG project.
Payabe also called on the authority’s chief executive officer William Bando and chairman James Marape to immediately make the payments. “It is taking too long.”
However, Marape yesterday announced that the payments would be made next Friday to approved landowner associations (see page 9).
Payabe wanted the K15 million IDG payment for PDL 7 to be make early next week.
He also called on ExxonMobil to stop all environmental damage compensation payments as the matter was before the courts.
“Any such payments will be illegal.”
