UNDER the leadership of Governor Anderson Pawa Agiru, the three MPs and acting provincial administrator William Bando, there is hope at last that our leaders are all coming together for the good of Hela in terms of delivering basic services.
This is what the people of Hela have been longing and waiting for.
We, the people, have given our MPs the mandate and, in return, we expect them to deliver much-needed services.
Time is their greatest enemy at this moment and the people of Hela expect our leaders to utilise their time and money wisely and work together for the common good of the new province.
Our leaders deserve some recognition and constructive criticisms rather than few individuals picking on them for political or personal reasons.
In fact, the people have seen some changes and development occurring in the province, especially in the provincial capital.
We thank Agiru, James Marape, Francis Potape, former Koroba-Lake Kopiago MP John Kekeno and HTA CEO Bando for showing their leadership and delivering some much-needed services such as electricity, bridges, roads, schools, hospitals, police barracks and building our provincial headquarters, not forgetting their support in financing sports, especially, the Hela Wigmen, basketball team and the athletes for 5th PNG Games in Kokopo.
We also appreciate their efforts in maintaining law and order and giving confidence to investors and firms to operate their businesses.
With the security in place, we have Nasfund already operating in Tari and soon we will have BSP.
We have great leaders and they will for sure deliver the services.
Therefore, the people have to look after these services and work together.
Also, we need to change our behaviours, attitudes, have respect for one another and listen to our local and national leaders.
