THE national government has been criticised for not fulfilling its commitment and promises made with the landowners from the PNG LNG project sites in Hela.

The landowners, representing the Tobani Habe Resource Owners Association and TPPK Investment PNG Ltd companies from Komo in Hela, said this in Mt Hagen as their governor delivered a petition to the government on the same subject.

The resource owners said the government was not standing on its word and the agreement signed in the Kokopo UBSA and the various LBBSA.

Urulu Wandako and James Taliko Andara, who represent the landowner companies, said the government had failed to address certain obligations which were affecting them and their families.

“The agreement signed in Kokopo is not being followed and we have many outstanding issues that needed to be sorted out that is why we need the government to tell us now what is causing the whole delay.”
